LOADING SOUND
There are 3 different loaders each with their own accompanying sound:
Face Mixer: From out of the bottom of the screen a hole opens up and out pops a glass jar with an animated Cyclops within it. When the jar lands there's a thud along with the sound of bubbles rising up in water.
Singing Blobs: A nebulous animated blob drops from the top of the screen onto a stage. When he lands there is a thud noise.
Brain Game: As it flies in, a flying brain with wings makes a flapping sound.
Then the sound of a page flipping. A woosh is heard when a helmet-wearing pencil zooms by and sketches out the scene.
ANIMATIONS
The pencil appears on the spiral-bound sketch pad page and draws a TV, which is labeled as " Channel Guide." The pencil falls flat on the pad, and other animated characters begin to appear and slide into place on the page. Users can interact with these characters to go to other parts of the Sketch Pad site.
On the page are:
MR. MOUTH, a talking microphone.
On mouseover, he says, "Details are sketchy."
THE VENT, an animated ventilation vent on the wall.
On mouseover, wind blows through it.
LUNCH BAG, a paper bag with eyes on the folded flap.
On mouseover, crinkling noise is heard as the lunch bag opens up its mouth, which is the opening of the bag.
THE SINGING BLOBS, a blob stands on a min-stage with a mini-microphone.
The blob has its eyes closed and is breathing.
THE DRAWING PENCIL, a small pencil wearing a helmet on the eraser end.
On mouseover, the pencil wiggles.
FACE MIX, a patch of hair, an eye and lips floating in a scientific jar.
On mouseover, bubbles rise up, along with bubbling noises.
THE BRAIN GAME, a brain with eyes and bat-like wings.
On mouseover, the wings flap audibly.
REMOTE CONTROL, a giant octopus tentacle
On interaction, a woosh sound is heard and the octopus reaches out to change channels on the TV.
Also on the page is a diving board underneath a clock and a small door. On interaction, the door opens up to let out either a buzzing "Ele-fly" (an elephant snout with wings), a noisy vacuum cleaner that begins to suck up the air around it, or a pair of eyes that shift nervously left and right.
If you click on the plug on the electrical outlet, the plug comes off and the TV goes dark, but soon after the tentacle plugs it back in and the TV comes alive again.
